We welcome dancers of all backgrounds, identities, ages, experience levels, and abilities.

Please:

  • Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
  • Communicate politely and constructively.
  • Be mindful of personal boundaries and consent.
  • Help contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Discrimination, bullying, intimidation, harassment, or exclusionary behaviour will not be tolerated.

Partner Dance Etiquette

Social dancing relies on mutual respect and clear communication.

Please:

  • Respect a dance partner’s right to decline a dance, stop a dance, or set boundaries at any time.
  • Avoid forceful leading, unsafe movement, or rough physical contact.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene and appropriate dance attire.
  • Be considerate of space and the safety of others on the dance floor.

Unsolicited teaching or excessive critique during classes or socials should be avoided unless specifically invited.

Safety & Wellbeing

The safety and comfort of our students is important.

Please:

  • Report any behaviour that makes you or others feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
  • Follow venue rules and instructor guidance.
  • Take responsibility for dancing within your own physical limits.

Any behaviour considered threatening, aggressive, inappropriate, or unsafe may result in removal from class or future events.

Photography & Social Media

Photos and videos may occasionally be taken for promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in media, please let us know and we will respect your preference wherever reasonably possible.

Please be respectful when posting content online involving other dancers.

Alcohol, Drugs & Conduct

Participants are expected to behave responsibly at all times.

Anyone whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, intoxicated, or inappropriate may be asked to leave without refund.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that concerns you, please speak to a member of the teaching or event team privately.

All concerns will be treated seriously and handled as respectfully and confidentially as possible.

Our Commitment

We are committed to fostering a dance environment where people can learn, connect, and enjoy dancing safely and confidently.

Thank you for helping us create a positive community for everyone.
